Welcome
A warm welcome to you. I trust that as you are reading this page you have an interest in Theatre or any other facet to putting on a Dramatic production, whether it be backstage, onstage, technical or even fundraising. The other assumption we are making is that you live in or around the York area. However location is not too much of a trouble, one member currently travels from Leeds each week to rehearse.
This shows a level of commitment and commitment is something that you need in any activity that you do. Theatre does require a particularly high level of responsibility and personal drive, but the reward cannot really be described fully. You essentially have a huge sense of satisfaction and an overpowering sense of achievement bundled with nerves and excitement through all the performance nights.
You are welcome to enjoy this experience with the group, just keep an eye out on the website and drop us a line shortly after the next production, or better still, come along to the show on the Saturday night and introduce yourself personally.
The Commitment and loyalty we receive from our members is essential to our future and we look forward to contributing to the vigorous amateur scene for many years to come.
What's in store for the future?
The future of the group is held in the hands of the members. Some are very talented and are currently doing extra work for television as well as short films. Others have particular skills in promotional work or contacts with people who voluntarily help the group immensely. To keep the group thriving we need talented people to join as other members move on in their careers, sometimes professional.
