When & Where

The group meets weekly at St James the Deacon Church in Dringhouses, York on a Thursday evening at 19:30. Exceptions to this are the first Thursday immediately after a production. This is to give a break to the cast members and allow time for the Reading Committee to meet and have initial discussions about the next production. A small map of the location is provided, however an interactive Google map can be used by following the image link.

The Rehearsals

The rehearsals vary in length, though we try to finish around 21:30 in the evening. This mainly depends on the length of the production and how much time is needed to be spent on the rehearsals themselves.

There is a Tea break at around 20:30, biscuits are also provided, which are often chocolate. A required donation of 50p is made at the Tea break which goes towards the hire of the Church premises for rehearsal space.

The Reading Committee

The Reading Committee meets for a series of weeks after the completion of a production. These meetings are held on a Tuesday evening. Library books are sourced and decisions are made on the next production the group will perform.

Other Fundraising Read more about the group and our other fundraising activities which include:
